He says, "My actual military experience is limited to working on the Canadian Ministry of National Defence's Y2K preparedness project 'Op Abacus'—a far cry from the high-tech on display in the current tale. A collection of my short stories, Irregular Verbs, will be out from ChiZine Press in May. It will include 'The Coldest War' and most of my other Asimov's stories."
